Recipe for sausage roll
What you will need
  1. 500 g of sausage meat
  2. 1 pkt MAGGI french onion soup mix
  3. 2 T chopped parsley flour
  4. 2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry
  5. Tomato sauce
  6. 1 egg beaten or milk


             Method
  1. Preheat the oven to 220’C.
  2. Put the sausage meat, soup mix and parsley in a large bowl. Using  a fork, stir everything together until thoroughly mixed.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal pieces. On a chopping board sprinkled with flour, shape  each piece of sausage meat into a roll 24cm long.
  4. Cut each pastry, sheet in half. Spread lightly with tomato sauce. Put a piece of sausage meat on each piece of pastry. Roll up. Pinch with your finger and thumb to seal along the edge of the pastry roll.
  5. Cut each roll into 6 pieces. Place, with the sealed edge down, on an oven tray. Brush the egg or milk over the rolls.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the sausage rolls are golden brown.
